What to wear when
hiking?
How to look good whilst
walking up a mountain
This might sound like a tricky thing to do, as its more
about practicality than fashion when it comes to hiking. But
there are a couple of things you can remember to do in order to
keep yourself feeling trendy and feminine.
Don't go and buy all the normal hiking equipment and
clothing from your nearest outdoors camping store, instead have
a browse in all sorts of stores online and on the high
street.
Hiking
Boots
Choose practical, yet stylish vintage leather walking boots.
This is a good start, as the rest of your outfit will be based
around your shoes. If its summer then it is not appropriate to
wear big boots, as this will make you overheat.
Find some walking shoes, or slim trainers, with a thin layer
of fabric...these are better than walking sandals as there are
fewer places for the shoes to rub.
Fashionable Hiking Clothing
Wear a great fitting tshirt and racer back vest combo, in a
classy and expensive colour. Pick some well fitting trousers,
that are loose and light, but sturdy. Cotton is good as it
dries quickly, as well as being breathable. But make sure its
properly fitted, regular hiking trousers are usually quite
unflattering.
Net-a-Porter sell some fantastic
activewear, and any
combination of these clothes will look stunning because
of the high quality finish.
How to
Style Your Hair whilst Hiking?
Make sure you have a few hair ties in your bag, so that when
you get a bit hot, you can tie your hair out of your face. A
loose bun on your head is the best idea, and make it look
fashionable by adding a fabric headband, that is a simple way
to add color and style to your outfit.
Hiking
Accessories
Pick a bag that is slim but practical. Eastpak make some
fantastic backpacks and rucksacks that come in different
colours and shapes, so you can coordinate your colors. Don't go
with a bag with lots of buckles and clips, if its not
necessary, and it probably won't be unless you are going on a
long hike.
